The regular presentation of the project titled "From the regions to the capital", implemented in Baku, was dedicated to the city of Gabala

The new project of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, entitled "From the regions to the capital" has set a goal to familiarize residents of Baku with the socio-economic development of regions, rich culture, traditions and customs.
The next event of the program was devoted to the Gabala city. The event took place on March 2 in the Azerbaijan State Theatre of Young Spectator with joint organizational support of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Gabala District Executive Power.
The presentation ceremony was attended by representatives of the intelligentsia of the capital, the Chairman of Council of Elders of the Republic deputy Fattah Heydarov and Gabala natives living in Baku.
First, the event participants familiarized themselves with the exhibition reflecting the socio-economic development of Gabala region, rich culture, customs and traditions, cuisine samples, hand works of masters of arts and crafts, tourism opportunities in the region.
Then taking part in the event, Minister of Culture and Tourism Abulfas Garayev, said in his speech about the positive impact on the regions of successive events in the direction of development in the field of culture and tourism in Azerbaijan in recent years. The Minister noted that as a result of the adoption and enforcement by the Head of State of the government programs, pushing to the socio-economic development of regions, many new museums, libraries, music schools, cultural centers were commissioned in areas, important work towards the restoration of historical monuments was done. He stressed that the organization of international events in the regions, along with the activities of republican significance, has already received the status of tradition.
Abulfas Garayev in his speech brought to the attention that in order to raise awareness of ancient and rich culture of Azerbaijan, strengthening of inter-regional exchange, demonstration of cultural and tourist potential of the region, throughout the year in Baku cultural events of art masters of cities and regions will be organized titled "From the regions to the capital", said that these presentations will contribute to the recognition of ancient history, traditions, art samples of the region in general, identifying new talents and the development of Azerbaijani culture.
Then the Head of the Executive Power of Gabala region Sabuhi Abdullayev spoke about the projects implemented in the region in recent years, works carried out, significant programs executed for the purpose of regional development.
Sabuhi Abdullayev in his speech praised the merits of the national leader Heydar Aliyev and the worthy successor of his policy President of Azerbaijan Republic Mr. Ilham Aliyev in the preservation of national and spiritual values, customs and traditions of our country and further development, and stated that as in all corners of our country, a new project called "From the region to the capital" was met in Gabala with great enthusiasm. Speaker brought to the attention, that in our country as in all other fields the successful reforms are carried out in connection with the cultural and tourism activities, and in Gabala in this direction considerable work has been done, and the mission on the carrying out of a number of international events was implemented - forums, summits, international music festivals and sporting events. Telling that hotels meeting international standards, fitness centers were built in the area, tourism infrastructure was established, Sabuhi Abdullayev said that last year about 50 thousand tourists visited the region.
After the official part souvenirs were presented to the Ministry of Culture and the District Executive Power, a video was shown dedicated to the socio-economic development of Gabala, its modern progress, tourism opportunities and rich culture.
On the evening musical groups and masters of arts of the region made a broad program and earned the applause of participants. The event left a good impression with the audience.
