In the days of Novruz holiday about 3 thousand tourists arrived at Gabala.
Gabala region is attractive for travel not only in summer, but even in the winter and spring months due to its geographical terrain, proximity to the capital and modern tourist infrastructure established here.
During the holiday vacation on the occasion of Novruz, which lasted in our country for a week, number of local and foreign tourists coming to our district was two times more than last year. The dream of people who wanted to climb the rope in the mountains, ride a sled on ice, engage in alpinism, go for a walk on a motor sleigh, horse and phaeton, ride a boat on the lake and go fishing, make use of leisure and entertainment centers, spend leisure time in the complex of trap shooting and archery, in the center of horseracing, embodied in these days in Gabala.
During the holidays for the meaningful leisure of guests in the hotels concerts with famous musicians, various recreational activities were held. Local and foreign tourists directly acquainted with the rich history, culture of modern urban planning and tasty cuisine of this picturesque region. Unique archaeological finds found in the ruins of the ancient city of Gabala, near the village of Chukhur Gabala, as well as performances of folklore and ethnographic groups of "Gulbuta", "Gulistan" and "Zopu-Zopu", organized in the center of culture, were highly appreciated by foreign guests.
Most of the tourists came here on holidays from Russia, Turkey, Great Britain, Latvia, Iran, Georgia, the Ukraine and the Republic of South Africa. During the week in the area about 3 thousand local and foreign visitors rested.
Currently, in Gabala there are about 100 small and large objects of tourism and recreation. 19 of these objects are five-, four-, three- star hotels and modern resorts. In these tourist sites throughout the day 2500 guests can be served on a high level.
