District championship on polyathlon "Ready to Defend the Homeland"
With organizational support of the Department of Youth and Sports in Gabala district championship was held on polyathlon "Ready to Defend the Homeland".
The aim of the competition is to prepare adolescents and young people to defend the homeland from a moral and physical point of view, increasing in the youth a sense of patriotism and love to the country, strengthening military training of the youth of military and preinduction age, increasing competitive experience and skills of athletes.
According to the rules of the International Association for polyathlon the conducted competition was attended by about 30 teams from secondary schools of the district.
According to the results of the competition the team of secondary school No. 3 of Gabala city took I place, the team of high school of Tyuntyul village took II place and the team of high school of Bayramkokhaly village took III place. Winners and medalists were awarded with diplomas of the department of Youth and Sports. The team that took first place won the right to participate in the zonal stage of the championship.
