Round table dedicated to tolerance.
Gabala Professional School hosted a round table discussion on "The attitude to religious tolerance."
Participants of the event noted that in our country, that for the second time declared its independence in the late twentieth century, all stereotypes are broken and freedom is acquired not only in the public understanding, but also in the spiritual sphere, and after the return of Heydar Aliyev to the leadership, these relations became even better. Speakers also noted that historically discrimination and confrontation on ethnic or religious grounds didn't occur in Azerbaijan, tolerance and patience, based on mutual trust and respect, characterize our society and created a wonderful tradition.
It was said that Azerbaijan has become a country where people of different religions and nationalities live together, a bridge between East and West, between the West and the Islamic world, as well as between nations, cultures and civilizations. It was brought to the attention, that thanks to the special attention shown by the Head of State Ilham Aliyev to this sphere in recent years in Azerbaijan, a number of major international events on the subject of religious tolerance was held and a unique model of tolerance was created.
