The district championship on athletics, dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the victory over fascism was held.
With the organizational support of the Gabala District Department of Youth and Sports, in connection with the 70th anniversary of the victory over fascism, the city championship on athletics among young men was held on April 24 in high school No. 2 of Zaragan village.
The purpose of the organization of competitions to honor the memory of Azerbaijanis who died during the Great Patriotic War in 1941-1945 , to raise the patriotic education of the younger generation, to achieve widespreading of athletics, as well as to improve skills in this sport and to determine the composition of the region team.
In the relay stage of the championship first place took the team of secondary school No. 3 of Gabala city. In conclusion, athletes and teams winning I, II and III places were awarded diplomas and medals of the Department of Youth and Sport.
