The Gabala hosted open judo tournament in honour of the 92 anniversary of the birth of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev.
Gabala District Department of Youth and Sports in cooperation with the "Gabala" Sport Club held an open tournament on judo among young men dedicated to 92 anniversary of the birth of National Leader Heydar Aliyev. The tournament, organized in Gabala Olympic Sports Complex, was attended by 242 sportsmen of 21 teams from 20 cities and districts of the republic.
The opening ceremony was attended by the deputy Head of the Executive Power of Gabala region Arif Allahverdiyev, Head of the Department of Youth and Sports Fakhri Soltanov and vice president of "Gabala" Sport Club Fariz Najafov. They wished success to the athletes.
At the end of the tournament by the number of medals in the team competition team of Gabala won I place, the team of Baku - II place and the team of Sumgait - III place. Athletes, who won in the weight categories, were awarded with diplomas and medals and teams with cups.
