The Treaty of Amity and Cooperation was signed between the Sharm el-Sheikh city of the Arab Republic of Egypt and Gabala city of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The delegation headed by the Governor of South Sinai, the Arab Republic of Egypt, General Khalid Fodan arrived in Gabala region.
Within the visit, at the Gabala Culture Center delegation headed by Khalid Fodan and Head of the Gabala District Executive Power signed the treaty concerning the intention of strengthening the friendship, cooperation and mutual understanding between the Gabala city of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Sharm El Sheikh city of the Arab Republic of Egypt. The parties also discussed issues of concern.
