17 athletes of "Gabala" sports club will participate at the 1st European Games.

From June 12 to 28 at the 1 European Games to be held in Baku more than 6,000 athletes from 50 European countries will compete for 253 sets of medals in 20 sports. In this representative competition organized for the first time in our country as part of our team participation of "Gabala" sports club representatives is planned. 17 athletes of the club will compete for the awards of the Europeans Games. 12 of our athletes will test their strength in combat sports. From June 16 to 19 in the taekwondo competition, which will be held in the Crystal Hall, in the weight category up to 58 kg "Gabala" club will be presented by Muhammad Muhammadov. From June 25 to 28 in the judo competition, which will take place in the Sport Arena named after Heydar Aliyev, 3 athletes from the "Gabala" club will go to the mat. Kifayat Gasimova in the weight category of 57 kg and Aysha Gurbanli in the weight category of 48 kg will perform in the competition among women and Ushangi Kokauri in the weight category +100 kg will perform among men. On June 22 in sambo competitions, which will take place in the Sport Arena named after Heydar Aliyev, 5 members of the "Gabala" club will fight for the medals. In the competition among women Shahana Huseynova in the weight category of 60 kg, Farida Gurbanova in the weight category of 64 kg and Narmin Alizade in the weight category of 68 kg will take part, in the competition among men Amil Gasimov in the weight category of 74 kg and Vasif Safarbeyov in the weight category of + 100 kg. From June 13 to 14 at the Crystal Hall the two karatekas of "Gabala" club will fight on the mat: Niyazi Aliyev in the weight category of 67 kg, Rafael Aghayev in the weight category of 75 kg. Other 5 athletes of the club will perform in shooting competitions. From June 16 to 24 in Baku Shooting Center Emin Jafarov, Pasha Ahadpur and Nurlana Jafarova will compete for medals in the round stand shooting, Elvin Ismayilov and Alina Parikhanova in trap shooting.
