A round table was held on the subject of "Say no to drugs"

In the Culture Center of Gabala District Executive Power held a round table on the subject of "Say no to drugs" with the organizational support of the Commission on Combating Drug Abuse and Illicit Traffic in Narcotic Drugs. The event was attended by representatives of law enforcement agencies, and working in various departments and enterprises of the region members of the public and active youth. Opening the meeting the district committee member Fakhri Soltanov said that the aim of the event is to call everyone to be active in the fight against drugs and other bad habits, turned into a tragedy of humanity, the public education in this area. Deputy Chief of Gabala Region Police Department Etibar Babayev spoke about the work of the district police department in the fight against drug addiction, done in order to fulfil the "State program to combat the spread of drug abuse and illicit trafficking in narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and their precursors" of the President Mr. Ilham Aliyev. Then the senior consultant of the District Department of Youth and Sports Mubariz Aghayev spoke about the work and activities done by the management among youth in relation to the negative consequences of bad habits, their health risks, contradiction of such lifestyle with our morality and religion. Then the doctor of the central district hospital Sarhan Rustamov noted that DCH doctors carried out works, conversations on health education among the population on the topic of "Say no to drugs", read lectures and published articles in the press. Executive Secretary of the Commission on Minors' Affairs and the Protection of the Rights in the Gabala Region Executive Power Shukur Takhirov said in his speech about the need for preventive measures dedicated to illegal trafficking of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances in schools among children and teenagers, the harmful effects they cause to the human body, receipt of even greater effect on attracting young people to the mass sports. At the end of the event the participants were provided with educational brochures and booklets. At the conclusion of the event the proposals of roundtable participants were presented and their questions were answered.
