Archaeological researches by the Archaeology and Ethnography Institute of ANAS are continuing in Gabala. During archaeological excavations on the territories of the old town called Salbir and Gyullyutepe new archaeological finds are discovered. Research works are carried out by the employees of the ancient period department of the Archaeology and Ethnography Institute of ANAS under the guidance of Ilyas Babayev. The greatest attention as a result of research is attracted by the discovery of granary, consisting of dozens of pitchers, and materials related to the first stage of the Iron Age. The new exhibits will be presented in the form of exposure in the Archaeological Center after their restoration in the laboratory, equipped with the most modern equipment. Note that the period reports and finds books have been published regarding 2 thousand exhibits discovered during the excavations, and these samples for the demonstration were transferred to the Archaeological Center
