Gabala region celebrated the 97th anniversary of the Azerbaijani police.

On July 2 - on the occasion of Day of Azerbaijani Police the law enforcement employees of Gabala district visited the monument to national leader Heydar Aliyev in the central square in the city park named after the great leader. Then, in his speech, the Chief of Police Department, Lieutenant-Colonel Ehtibar Abduyev, congratulated the police workers on the occasion of Police Day and brought to the attention that since the establishment of the Azerbaijani police it stands guard over our state and the rule of law, said of their essential services in the protection of citizens, strengthening public order. Stressing in his speech that thanks to the care of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev, Azerbaijan's national police was formed and evolved into a flexible structure as one of the foundations of our statehood, he noted that the professionalism of the police in carrying out the tasks set for the police by the President Ilham Aliyev is constantly growing, for citizens' convenience all forces are mobilized. Then the police officers got acquainted with the Heydar Aliyev Center. Here, employees were provided with detailed information about the life and work of the brilliant personality. It was noted that the Ministry of Internal Affairs was created as part of the independence declared on May 28, 1918 by the National Government of Azerbaijan Democratic Republic. On the basis of a Decree signed by the genius person Heydar Aliyev in March 1998, July 2 is celebrated every year as a professional holiday of employees of law enforcement bodies. At the meeting, along with law enforcement officials, the first Deputy Head of the District Executive Power Abil Aghasafov, congratulated police officers and emphasized the great attention and care in relation to Azerbaijan Police during the reign of the great leader Heydar Aliyev and noted that the current labor of the police is good estimated by the Head of State Ilham Aliyev. It was noted that Azerbaijani police is a reliable guarantor of security, stability, maintenance of public order in the country. Other officials, veterans of the police who took part in the event conveyed their congratulations to the police officers on the occasion of the big day, and reported their exceptional merit to ensure stability in the country, in the fight against crime. In conclusion, the group distinguished in the police service and the police veterans were awarded certificates, diplomas and valuable gifts.
