Gabala hosted a concert of the Azerbaijan State Chamber Orchestra named after G.Garayev.
VII Gabala International Music Festival, which is a grand event of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, is successfully continuing.
In accordance with the program of the festival on July 28 the Congress Center of Heydar Aliyev hosted a concert of the Azerbaijan State Chamber Orchestra named after Gara Garayev. The concert held under the conductorship of artistic director and chief conductor of the State Youth Symphony Orchestra, Honored Artist, People's Artist, presidential scholar Teymur Goychayev, "Arazbari" of the genius composer U.Hajibayli, Marjana dance from the "1001 Nights" ballet of F.Amirov, 5th concert for piano and orchestra of S.Ibrahimova, concert of D.Shostakovich, "Divertisment in B" by Mozart, the first concerto for piano and orchestra by Shostakovich were presented.
At the concert, local and foreign audience was informed that the first principal conductor and artistic director of Azerbaijan State Chamber Orchestra, established in 1964 at the initiative of the classics of the Azerbaijan music G.Garayev and F.Amirov was a People's Artist, laureate of state prizes Nazim Rzayev. During the period of more than 40 years, the band has participated in prestigious international festivals in many cities around the world. The orchestra's repertoire includes works of composers of Western Europe, Russia and Azerbaijan. Since 1998, the artistic director and chief conductor of the Azerbaijan State Chamber Orchestra is People's Artist Teymur Goychayev.
Also at the concert the performances of Professor of Baku Music Academy named after U.Hajibayli, director of Azerbaijan State Philharmonic People's Artist Murad Adigozalzadeh (piano) and the vice-rector for international relations and educational work of the Baku Musical Academy named after U.Hajibayli, professor Yegana Akhundova (piano) were met with interest.
