National music performed in the grandiose Mugham night held in Gabala gave the audience unforgettable pleasant moments.

Beginning from July 25 ancient city Gabala successfully hosts international music festival which is a great international project of Heydar Aliyev Foundation. Along with the world-known musicians young players also come on stage in the framework of the VII Gabala International Music Festival which was attended by prominent musicians, art collectives, soloists and conductors from 8 countries participate. Our national music mugham is also paid great attention traditionally every year in Gabala International Music Festival known as a music holiday wherein classical pieces are performed mainly. Local and foreign music lovers attach special importance to the open-air mugham night held on July 29 in accordance with the festival programme. Performances of famous khanandas participating in Mugham TV Contest organized by Heydar Aliyev Foundation – winner of II International Mugham Contest within framework of “Mugham world” International Mugam Festival, soloist of Azerbaijan State Philharmonic Hall Ehtiram Huseynov, laureate of range of contests, soloist of Azerbaijan State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre Arzu Aliyeva, laureate of the 3rd place in the “Mugham TV Contest – 2011” organized by Heydar Aliyev Foundation Nigar Shabanova, laureate of the 2nd place in the “Mugham Contest” held in 2007 Abgul Mirzaliyev caused great interest in the concert which gave the audience unforgettable music holiday excitement. Mugham singers were accompanied by tar player – Honoured Artist, Associate Professor of Azerbaijan National Conservatory, Presidential Prizer Sahib Pashazade, by kamancha player – participant of range of contests, instructor at the Azerbaijan National Conservatory Toghrul Asadullayev and by naghara player – member of Azerbaijan State Orchestra of Folk Instruments Emin Jabrayilov. Talanted khanandas perfectly performed Azerbaijani folklore songs, mughams and tasnifs. Two-hour concert with the audience of 1500 people ended with applause.
