The competitions for the World Cup in Olympic shooting are completed.
The competitions for the World Cup in Olympic shooting, which took place in Gabala Stand and Archery Complex, are completed. The final round of the competition among men on trap shooting, on 15 August, was attended by 8 athletes. In the final, Russia's Alexei Alipov won the gold medal, Chernograz Giovanni from Croatia won the second and the Italian athlete Frasca Erminio - third place. After the competition the awards ceremony was held. Note that the final round of the competition for the World Cup in Olympic shooting, held with the support of the National Olympic Committee, Ministry of Youth and Sport, and with the organizational support of the "Gabala" Shooting Club, Azerbaijan Shooting Federation, was attended by up to 2 thousand athletes having special place in the world league tables of Olympic shooting, as well as official guests and delegations from about 100 countries. 5 rounds of the competition for the World Cup have been held over the past year in the United States, the United Arab Emirates, Cyprus and Mexico. Athletes that scored points in the competition, received the right to participate in the final round of the World Cup, held in Gabala. The 6th round of the competition, that is the final meetings, was held from August 8 to 16 in Gabala. This competition is considered the most important, after the European and World Championships, in the calendar plan of International Shooting Sport Federation in 2015. In competitions on 17 types of shooting athletes competed for 34 licenses for the Summer Olympic Games to be held in 2016 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The competition was live broadcasted on «ISSF TV», which is the official television channel of International Shooting Sport Federation.
