An event on the subject of "Human trafficking is a tragedy of humanity" was organized.
With organizational support of the Main Department for Struggle against Human Traffic of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Azerbaijan Republic, Ministry of Education and the NGOs Coalition against Trafficking, an event was held on the subject of "The Essence, forms of human trafficking, the threat and the fight against it" in Gabala Tourism and Hotel Business Vocational Training Center.During the event the realization of joint educational work among students and teachers of vocational education institutions in cities and districts of the republic by the staff of these structures in order to fight against human trafficking was mentioned. The meeting was attended by lead investigator on priority cases of the Main Department for Struggle against Human Traffic of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Colonel-Lieutenant Fuad Aliyev, lead investigator of the mentioned department, senior police lieutenant Ilham Rahimov, employee of the Gabala Region Executive Power Ramil Garibov, the deputy director of the Center for Resources and Training of NGOs of Gabala region Malik Rashidov. Fuad Aliyev gave detailed information to the participants on the topics: "What is human trafficking?", "What are the ways traffickers entice people (victims)", "What kind of tricks do they use to entice people?". Noting that traffickers turn into slaves not only women but also men, and even children, he put wise young people about things that citizens should not be forgotten, being in foreign countries. Participants of the event were distributed the booklets reflecting the shapes of committing human trafficking, were provided with the contact numbers, hotline telephone numbers of the Main Department for Struggle against Human Traffic. In conclusion, they were shown a video entitled "Beware of human trafficking."
