World Teachers' Day was celebrated.
A district-wide event was held in Gabala on the occasion of October 5th - World Teachers' Day. During the event, which was attended by the district administration, leading educators, intellectuals, it was said about the high level of public concern about the development of education in our country, the achievements of educators. It was reported that the World Teachers' Day, established by UNESCO in 1966, is widely celebrated in Azerbaijan since 1993. It was said during the event that the teacher's name imprinted in the thinking of our people as a symbol of purity, education, the teacher is the creator of a wonderful future, a great person, giving the society science, knowledge, philosophy, and forming in the youth of the country such qualities as kindness, hard work and patriotism. It was stressed that the national leader Heydar Aliyev always highly valued teacher's profession and work, has been brought to the attention that in the years of his leadership in Azerbaijan, hundreds of new schools, kindergartens has been built and commissioned in our country. Speakers noted the high assessment of the teacher's work by the Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev today, said that consistent measures are carried out to improve the social welfare of the members of this noble profession. Speakers during the meeting congratulated the teachers of the district on this significant holiday and wished them continued success in teaching.
