6,300 tons of products were gathered from 3210 acres of hazelnut garden in Gabala.

Gardening holds key position in the economy of Gabala region and is considered the main field of employment of villagers. Villagers, who this year grew up the rich harvest in the orchard area, successfully completed the harvesting of nuts. For the season the existing 3210 hectares of hazelnut garden gave 6300 tons of products, that is 150 tons more than last year. Villagers along with the supply of products on local markets, sell it to the nuts receiving centres at reasonable prices. One nut processing plant, as well as small nut processing enterprises are working in the region. The organization of products' procurement by processing enterprises increases the interest of gardeners to expand gardens and increase productivity each year.
