Gabala celebrated 120-year anniversary of Jamshid Nakhchivanski.
In accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Gabala celebrated the 120th anniversary of a prominent military figure Jamshid Nakhchivanski. During the event, held in the Central Library of Gabala region, first an exhibition was held of photographs of the great military leader, books, newspapers and magazines written about him. Then the official part began. Speakers talked about the exceptional merit of the first national commander of the rifle division of Azerbaijan Jamshid Nakhchivanski in the military history, the glorious way of him as a skilled military leader and his valor. It was noted that, despite the short life of a talented military leader, he has left a deep mark on the military history of Azerbaijan. Whether in the army of Imperial Russia, during the period of Azerbaijan Democratic Republic (1918-1920-ies), or in the years of Soviet Power, showing loyalty to the oath, he honorably served the state, played an active role in the training of highly qualified military personnel. In conclusion the important role of such events was stressed in the education of youth in the national, moral and military-patriotic spirit.
