Beekeeping is intensively developing.
In Gabala region, where in recent years beekeeping is rapidly developing, every year the number of bee colonies and performance are increasing. In Gabala, which has mountain and plain relief, there are favorable conditions for the development of beekeeping, very advantageous from an economic point of view. For the further development of beekeeping, coordinating the work of entrepreneurs engaged in the field, the Gabala Region Department of Azerbaijan Association of Beekeepers is established. In accordance with the Law of Azerbaijan Republic "On beekeeping", the result of the work done here is that every year the number of individuals with an interest in this area increases. Over the past year 36 individuals in the region created private beekeeping farms and 192 new bee colonies were formed. Currently, the number of individuals, engaged in beekeeping, comes to 633 and the number of bee colonies has reached 1625.
