Scientific article on the archaeological study in Gabala was published.

“Archaeological researches at the Kilsalitepe monument in Caucasian Albania” (“Археологические исследования на памятнике Кильсяли тепе Кавказской Албании”) article of Natig Alishov, Associate of the Institute of Archaeology and Ethnography of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, PhD in History, was published in “Российская археология” (“Russian archaeology”) magazine of the Institute of Archaeology of Russian Academy of Sciences. Albanian temple in Kilsalitepe located near Nij settlement of Gabala region was examined in June, 2011, and in 2012 Natig Alishov studied the monument within a group of Gabala archaeological expedition. During the archaeological studies it was determined that architecture of the temple constructed in the form of half dugout has common features with other Albanian churches and at the same time specific patterns. It was also stated in the Article, that Kilsalitepe temple was constructed in the end of VII century - in the beginning of VIII century for its architectural features, and functioned till late Middle Ages. The article, representing the leading standards-meeting research in the modern Azerbaijani science of material and spiritual heritage of Caucasian Albania, which is part of the history of Azerbaijan, aroused great interest among foreign researchers.
