Women’s football festival was carried out under the slogan “Live your goals”.
With organizational support of AFFA, a festival was organized under the slogan “Live your goals” in Gabala city stadium on October 31, 2015. In Azerbaijan, a series of events is held under this slogan since 2012. In the festival organized under the auspices of FIFA, an entertaining program was demonstrated with the participation of girls studying in the I-V grades of secondary schools. Speaking during the opening of event, the head of the district Youth and Sports Department Fakhri Soltanov told about the development of football, the works done for popularity and conditions created by the government in the Republic, as well as in Gabala. After that, international referee observer Asim Khudiyev and head coach of Azerbaijan women's team, formed of girls under the age of 21, Patricia Gonzalez wished success to the participants in their speeches. It was mentioned that, the purpose of the project is to increase the popularity of women's football, attract girls to football, create prerequisites for their continued engaging in this sport, strengthen interest in women's football, especially in the regions.
