Gabala fascinated students.

As we reported, students from Absheron, Gusar, Guba, Sumgait, Khachmaz and Khizi visited Gabala region on November 16 within the framework of the next tour-campaign organised by the task of the President Ilham Aliyev for upper class students of secondary schools of our republic. The students who participated in the tour-campaign on Ismayilli-Gabala-Sheki route got familiar with the historical monuments, tourism facilities, picturesque areas, customs, as well as, newly established manufacturing and social facilities of Gabala region. The first acquaintance of 210 students from six regions with Gabala began with “Tufandagh” Winter-Summer Tourism Resort Complex. During the acquaintance with this complex that receives the most number of tourists in the region, the students were informed of the construction of 4 cableways, completion of construction work in 5 of 10 ski trails, opening of restaurants with all conditions for resting of the tourists, provision of all mountain-ski trails with artificial snowmaking generators and possibility of serving 3 thousand people in a day within the framework of the first stage of the construction of the complex. Then the students got information on the history, culture and ethnography of ancient Gabala which was the capital of Caucasian Albania for 900 years, in the Historical-Ethnography Museum of the region. They were told that more than 12.000 exhibits of historical and scientific importance which reflect 2500-year history of Gabala are preserved in the main foundation of the museum. The students visiting Heydar Aliyev Center got familiar with the photos and documents reflecting the life and political activity of National Leader. The participants of the tour-campaign who got familiar with the manufacturing process in the “Beltmann” piano factory were told that pianos under the “Beltmann” brand name are manufactured in the factory. During the acquaintance with Congress Center named after Heydar Aliyev it was informed that 1200-seat center consists of three floors. Halls, 350-seat restaurant and administrative rooms are located in the first floor. Multifunctional conference hall is in the second floor. By letting down the seats conference hall may be rapidly turned into the flat form for other purposes like concert and meeting. Later visiting Nij settlement the students observed “Chotari” Albanian church with great interest. They were informed that the church is one of the most ancient and important monuments as to historicity. Nij settlement is considered as a small model of tolerance. Also the students got acquainted with the ruins of ancient Gabala city and results of archaeological excavations in the area in Chukhur Gabala village. At the end of their visit to Gabala the students got familiar with five-star “Qafqaz Riverside”, “Qafqaz Yeddi Gozel” hotels, “Gabaland” Recreation and Entertainment Center, modern tourism infrastructure, fascinating nature of the region, as well as, Nohur lake and rested, entertained and took photos there. In the end the students admitted their astonishment on ancient and modern Gabala city during their travel and left for Sheki city with good impressions.
