Zone conference held on the development of cattle-breeding in Gabala
A conference on defining the priorities in cattle-breeding, improving the stud-selection works, expanding the activity of zone veterinary laboratories in order to organise more effectively the artificial insemination of animals in places, examining the genetic material used in the artificial insemination of animals, organising forage production, taking prophylactic measures for animal diseases specific to the region and other issues regarding cattle-breeding was held in Gabala. Farmers who engage in cattle-breeding, the specialists of insemination and specialists of cattle-breeding from Gabala, Ismailli and Oghuz took part in the conference. In the zone conference Galib Abdulaliyev, the head of the development department of cattle-breeding of the Ministry of Agriculture, by delivering a speech, informed comprehensively of the duties ahead regarding the announcement of 2015 as the “year of Agriculture” in Azerbaijan Republic, the ways of improving the cattle-breeding with intensive methods, improved technologies in order to developed better the stud-selection works in cattle-breeding, organising the works in the zone veterinary laboratories in this field in a centralised manner. Presentations and speeches on organising selection-stud works in cattle-breeding, preventive measures for animal diseases, ways of creating a solid forage base and the importance of insemination were delivered in the conference. The questions on the issues in which the farmers and specialists were interested were responded in detailed and mutual opinions were exchanged. At the end of the conference the advanced practices were displayed in the modern cattle-breeding complexes and small-scale family farms which breed highly productive animals.
