“Tufandaq” Winter-Summer Tourism Complex opened the ski season.
The new ski season in the "Tufandag" Winter-Summer Tourism Complex was opened and the free skiing training was started. The complex had all the conditions for increasing the interest of high school students to skiing, mastering the secrets of skiing, training them as professional athletes. This ski season schoolchildren of Gabala and other regions in accordance with the schedule will use the cable and ski services provided in the complex. These free ski trainings that caused great interest among the students, will last until the end of March. In order to assist the development of winter tourism in our country, in the future the various competitions among the juniors and youth taking part in the training, their participation in local and international tournaments are planned. Last ski season free training courses were also organized for students and a total of more than 1,000 students have mastered the secrets of skiing, taking advantage of the training. At the present time 8 down-run lines are commissioned on the skiing run. The restaurants and "Tufandag" five-star hotel were opened where all conditions for the organization of travellers' leisure, the entire skiing run is equipped with artificial snow generation. During the day it's possible to service 3 thousand people in the complex. In general, the length of the 4-cable line is 6 kilometers and 10 ski roads - 17 km. Reaching the top of the snow-capped high mountains with the cable way, from a height of 1660 meters tourists can contemplate Gabala town, Duruja village, surrounding rivers, forests, beautiful scenery, use the services of cafes and restaurants on the mountain top.
