An event dedicated to the twenty-sixth anniversary of January 20th tragedy was held.
On the occasion of the twenty-sixth anniversary of the January 20th tragedy, Gabala Region Culture Center hosted an event. The meeting was opened with the introductory speech by the head of the Gabala region Department of Culture and Tourism Nargila Gafarova, the blessed memory of January 20 martyrs was honored with a minute of silence. In her speech Nargila Gafarova noted that the tragedy of January 20 is the nationwide tragedy, but at the same time, this date is included in the history of Azerbaijan as the pinnacle of the national liberation movement of our people for independence, autonomy and freedom. She emphasized that this aggression has failed to morally break our people, to trample the dignity and pride, on the contrary, the day of January 20 was inscribed as a new page in the heroic annals of our people, despite the fact that this page of our history opens with the sounds of imperial bullets, blood of our heroic martyrs engraved in the annals. Then, Director of the Cultural Center Malik Aghayev and other cultural workers spoke at the event.
