The memory of January 20 th martyrs was honored.
The B. military unit of the Ministry of Emergency Situations hosted an event in connection with the January 20th - Day of National Mourning. The event was attended by employees of the region departments of education, youth and sports and the high school students of the city secondary school No. 5. The event was opened with the introductory speech by the deputy commander of the military unit, Lieutenant-Colonel Ilham Aliyev. Participants of the ceremony with a minute of silence honored the memory of the bright sons and daughters of the Motherland, who gave their lives in the massacre of January 20. During the event dedicated to the Day of National Mourning a report on the events of January 20 was made by the history teacher of the secondary school No. 5 Tahir Masimov. Then, students and soldiers read excerpts from poems of Azerbaijani poets dedicated to the martyrs. At the conclusion of the event a documentary film on the subject was shown.
