Event on the occasion of the twenty sixth anniversary of the tragedy of January 20 was held in the Gabala Regional NGOs Resource and Training Centre.
Anar Maharramov, Executive Director of the Gabala Regional NGOs Resource and Training Centre, made an opening speech and gave information about the tragedy of January 20. Then the loving memory of the martyrs of January 20 was commemorated with a minute’s silence. Yashar Humbatov, head of Support to Disabled People Public Union, made a detailed report on bloody crime committed against the Azerbaijani people on the night of January 19. It was reported that Azerbaijani nation declared to the whole world their invincibility, heroism, loyalty to the Homeland, land, struggle determination and that they achieved national liberation. Speakers participating in the event highlighted the historic services of national leader Heydar Aliyev provided in legal and political assessment of the events, declaration of the names of criminals to the people, stated that great attention and care are shown by our state to the families of the victims of January 20.
