The meeting of the Council under the Head of the Gabala Region Executive Power was held.

On February 9, 2016 an extended meeting of the Council under the Head of the Gabala Region Executive Power was held on the occasion of the discussion of the proposals put forward in the report meetings, dedicated to the results of 2015 in the regions, cities, towns and villages. The meeting was attended by the members of Council, the representatives of the Head of REP on the administrative territory, municipalities' chairpersons, heads of institutions, enterprises and organizations. Opening the meeting with the introductory remarks, the Head of the Gabala Region Executive Power Mr. Sabuhi Abdullayev brought to the attention that, as a result of the implementation of targeted reforms in our country in accordance with the instructions of the Head of State Mr. Ilham Aliyev, the barriers to social and economic development are eliminated, the measures are carried out to improve the social protection of the population, increase the wages, pensions and benefits, and to prevent artificial overpricing. It was noted that important work is carried out in the region to improve the social welfare of the people, increase agricultural production and create new jobs. It was further noted that, in accordance with the approved schedule as every year in January the reporting meetings were held in the city, settlement and rural territorial administrative offices on the work done in 2015, the attendance of the Council members was provided at the meetings. During the meetings held, the inhabitants put forward the proposals. In connection with the issue on the agenda, the report was made by the head of the department of the region executive power on the work with the territorial government and local self-government bodies, Zulfugar Jafarov. It was noted that from January 7 to 30, 2016, the reporting meetings were held in 60 city, settlement and village administrative territorial representative offices of the region. The reporting meetings were attended by most of the population, various proposals have been put forward by the speakers. The appeals sounded by the citizens were mostly proposals regarding the construction of new and repair of existing kindergartens in the territory, construction of new buildings for primary schools, overhaul of schools, laying the natural gas lines, construction of protective dams for the purpose of shore protection works, boring of artesian wells, replacement of electric poles, installation of new transformers of the modern type, asphalting of rural roads, construction of new bridges, health centers and post offices, etc. It was brought to attention that in connection with the solution of some of the issues raised by the citizens, the contact was established with the relevant institutions and organizations in the region and relevant works were initiated in connection with the solution of the issues raised. It was noted that due to the fact that other voiced proposals should be implemented by the relevant organizations of the republic, in connection with these appeals, the proposals have been made in respect of the relevant organizations. Speaking on the report, the administrative-territorial representative of the Bum settlement Eynulla Mammadov and administrative-territorial representative of Bayramkokhali village Shahin Abbasov spoke about the work carried out in the Bum settlement and Bayramkokhali village in 2015. Then a draft of the Council decision was adopted. Head of the Region Executive Power Mr. Sabuhi Abdullayev summed up the meeting of the Council.
