The second match of the day was played in the XXI round of Premier League of Azerbaijan. "Gabala" team, consolidating itself in the group of leaders, accepted "Sumgait" team. Not to move away from the leaders, the home team, though with difficulty, but managed to win three points from an opponent. In the first half "Gabala" failed to hit the gate of "Sumgait" team playing mostly defensive football. The team of Roman Grigorchuk at 69th minute of the second half, thanks to a single goal of Ermin Zets, secured its victory over the "Sumgait" club - 1:0. Despite the fact that at the end of the match, Samir Abasov had a chance to restore the balance of his team in the match, they failed to realize this opportunity. Thus, thanks to this victory, "Gabala" scored 33 points, and rose to third place in the standings. Position of "Sumgait" team with 18 points in eighth place has not changed.
