A zonal competition on "Hamsa" National Intellectual Game was held among youth.
With organizational support of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, a zonal qualifying stage of the VIII Azerbaijan Championship of the "Hamsa" National Intellectual Game was held among the youth in the Gabala Tourism and Hotel Business Training Center. Head of the Sector of the Ministry of Youth and Sports Kanan Karimov participated in the event. Speaking at the opening ceremony, Head of the District Department of Youth and Sports Fakhri Soltanov welcomed the participants and said that President Ilham Aliyev pays special attention to the younger generation, spoke about care provided by him in each region and the successful development of the state youth policy in the country, spoke in detail about the aims and objectives of the event. It was brought to attention that the main objective of the "Hamsa" National Intellectual Game is to stimulate the intellectual level, outlook, mental development of young people, enhance the knowledge and skills among them, promote the rich national culture and history of Azerbaijan, as well as apply the new methods in the direction of effective organization of the leisure for youth. During the zonal stage, teams from Oghuz, Sheki, Gakh, Zagatala, Balaken and Gabala regions, consisting of participants aged 18 to 29 years, tested their knowledge, skills and intellectual level. As a result, Balaken region team took I place, the Gabala region team - II place and the Gakh region team - III place. All three teams have gotten the pass to the final stage, which will be held in Ganja city.
