A regional stage of the republican contest on performance was held.
With organizational support of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Gabala Tourism and Hotel Business Vocational Training Center hosted the regional stage of the Republican contest on performance among pupils and students of primary-vocational and secondary specialized educational institutions. The aim of the competition is to improve the work carried out in the direction of learning the works of Azerbaijani composers and folk songs and dances of pupils and students of primary-vocational and secondary specialized educational institutions, effective organization of free time of pupils and students, identifying gifted young people, improving culture of performance. The competition held in the categories of pop songs of Azerbaijani composers, tesnifs and folk songs, poems and dances, was attended by the winners of primary-vocational and secondary specialized educational institutions of Balakan, Oguz, Sheki and Gabala regions. According to the results of the competition in the final round of the Republican stage, zones will be represented in the nomination of tesnifs and folk songs by the student of Shaki Musical College Salimova Zumrud Tofig, in the nomination of song by the student of the Gabala Vocational School Mammadrzayeva Maleyka Farhad in the nomination of poems by the student of Sheki Pedagogical College Kazimova Sevin Shahin, in the category of dance by the dance group consisting of girls of Balakan Professional School. The winners in the nominations will compete in the final round of the Republican stage, which will be held on April 25, 2016 in Baku.
