Azerbaijani Army's response to the Armenian provocation creates the people's confidence in victory

In connection with the speech of the President Ilham Aliyev at the meeting of the Security Council under the President of Azerbaijan Republic dated on April 2, 2016 a meeting of Gabala region public representatives was held. The meeting, organized in the Gabala Culture Center, was attended by the heads of organizations and enterprises, elders and public representatives of the district. At first, the memory of the martyrs who died in the battles on the front line on the night of April 1, as a result of provocation of the Armenian armed forces, was honored with a minute of silence. Speaking at the meeting the Head of the Region Executive Power Sabuhi Abdullayev brought to the attention, that in the last days the occupation army of Armenia on the contact line of the Armenian-Azerbaijani troops on the front made another large-scale provocation. It was noted that the units of the occupation army in the frontline in Terter, Aghdam, Fuzuli and other directions, from the occupied territories subjected to fire from large-caliber artillery guns, rifles, machine guns, rockets our frontline settlements, civilian targets and at the same time fighting positions of our army. As a result, among the civilian population were killed and wounded, serious damage to buildings, farmers was caused in villages in the frontal zone. It was noted that our National Army adequately responded to the provocation of the enemy, destroying a large part of the enemy firing positions, brought down a large amount of manpower, armored vehicles, artillery pieces. With regret, it was noted that our national army also suffered losses in these battles. It's known that our esteemed President Ilham Aliyev last week was invited by the United States President Barack Obama to a very important international event. Our President took part in the IV Global Summit on Nuclear Security. Participation of our esteemed President in such a prestigious event in Washington, DC, at the same time high-level meetings with the United States government officials, held in an atmosphere of mutual understanding and friendship, could not but cause envy of the Armenian leadership. In order to cast a shadow over the meeting, which took place at the highest level in the United States of America, the Armenian side has once again resorted to provocation. It was noted that our army gave adequate response to the provocations committed by Armenians on the night of April 1. Our army had liberated two villages being under occupation, seized a number of strategic heights, breaking the line of defense of the Armenians in several directions. Detailed reporting on the latest developments that have taken place on the front line, the head of the DEP told about the Security Council meeting held at night, once the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan returned from a working visit on April 2nd. It was emphasized that the President spoke at a meeting of the Security Council. The President said that the reason for these actions is that Armenia does not want peace. The latest developments on the front line are the regular armed provocation by Armenia against Azerbaijan. This is another manifestation of the insidious policy of Armenia against Azerbaijan. Today Armenian provocation received an adequate response on the part of the Azerbaijani army. Our heroic fighters were able not only to prevent the provocation, at the same time, they were able to seize the favorable positions. Today, on the frontline advantage of Azerbaijan was further strengthened. As a result of the fighting, we won a great military victory. On this occasion, the President of Azerbaijan Republic, Supreme Commander Ilham Aliyev congratulated our heroic army, the whole Azerbaijani people. Speaking at the meeting the chairperson of the Gabala District Organization of the New Azerbaijan Party Abil Aghasafov, Head of Gabala region State Service of Mobilization and Military Challenge Service Lieutenant Colonel Niyaz Mammadov, refugee from Khojaly Kamal Mammadov, Karabakh war veteran Rovshan Kazimov, member of the district council of elders Shirin Shirinov, teacher of Gabala city secondary school No.4 of Vafa Ibrahimova, representatives of active youth Kanan Kerimov and Seymour Huseynov, teacher of the Dashja village secondary school Almaz Asadova brought to the attention that treacherous acts of Armenians turned into a condemnation object at the international level, the international community supports the fair position of Azerbaijan, and stated that this is a good example of successful foreign policy pursued by the head of the country.
