Gabala hosted a conference on the subject of "All consumers should know and demand their rights".

With organizational support of the State Service for Antimonopoly Policy and Consumer Protection under the Ministry of Economy, in the auditorium of Gabala Region Executive Power with participation of representatives of the regional offices of government agencies, community organizations, and consumers a conference was held on the subject of "All consumers should know and demand their rights". Opening the conference the head of the Department of Analysis and Forecasting of Social and Economic Development of the Region Executive Power, deputy head of the Region Executive Power Arif Allahverdiyev noted that at the present stage of socio-economic development is associated with the name of Great Leader Heydar Aliyev. It was noted that great progress in all sectors of the country's economy have been achieved thanks to its far-sighted and purposeful policy. All these results are successfully continued by the correct and targeted economic policy pursued by President Ilham Aliyev, the care and attention provided to the entrepreneurs. All cities, settlements and villages are improved, new production facilities are opened, employment is provided. It was noted that decrees signed by the President to ensure food safety and consumer protection, gave impetus for the duration of this development, the transition of its quality to a higher level, his assignment associated with a strict ban on the sale in the country of substandard products and improvements of the control, prompted us to be more responsible. Speaking at the conference, Deputy Head of the State Service Araz Aliyev spoke about the importance of awareness and advocacy to protect consumer market from low-quality goods and services, informed the participants about the legislation in the field of consumer protection and consumer rights. He brought to the attention of the measures undertaken by public services in this area.It was noted that last year the State Service with the assistance of relevant government agencies, community organizations, businesses and members of the public, the conferences, round tables and seminars were held in Baku and regions, the educational materials were distributed with the purpose of consumer education and to inform entrepreneurs. At the conference, members of the State Service gave presentations on different aspects of the rights of consumers, in detail informed about ongoing measures aimed at compliance with the requirements of service rules and improvement of service culture, the issues that consumers should pay attention to, purchasing goods and services, tasks of service companies, answered the questions of the participants. At the conclusion of the event the participants were given educational materials on consumer rights.
