The memory of the outstanding scientist-ophthalmologist Zarifa Aliyeva was honored.
In the Medical Diagnostic Center of Gabala region an event was held to mark the 93 anniversary of the birth of the outstanding scientist-ophthalmologist, academician Zarifa Aliyeva. At first, the memory of the prominent ophthalmologist was honored with a minute of silence. Opening the event head physician of the Medical Diagnostic Center Jeyhun Ahmadov spoke about the rich life path of the academician Zarifa Aliyeva, educational and medical activities, brought to the attention the contribution made by her to Azerbaijan's healthcare system. It was noted that the memory of academician Zarifa Aliyeva, the person of the rich philosophy of life and the spiritual world, who played a special role in the development of ophthalmic science, even now lives in the hearts of the people, her memory is honored. It was noted that Zarifa Aliyeva was the first Azerbaijani who has received many renowned scientific awards, including the Prize of the Academician M.I.Averbakh award of the USSR Academy of Medical Sciences. Among the speakers at the meeting ophthalmologist Shirali Sadigov, doctor Sabina Mammadova and others have brought to the attention that Zarifa Aliyeva with her vibrant activity will forever remain in the memory of history, she has risen to the highest level of medical science, she had responsible, at the same time, very instructive and exemplary way of life.
