Gabala city secondary school No. 2 hosted the scientific conference on the subject titled "Heydar Aliyev — the Founder of Multiculturalism in Azerbaijan".

The official of the Knowledge Foundation under the President of the Azerbaijan Republic Haji Narimanoglu, and the head of legal department of the Baku International Center of Multiculturalism Tural Shakhbazov participated at the conference. Opening the event the school principal Tarana Salimova greeted all the participants and guests. During her speech, the principal talked in details about all the work carried out in the sphere of education, as well as in other spheres of life of the country by the national leader, the genius personality Heydar Aliyev, successes achieved by the school this year. Students recited poems devoted to Heydar Aliyev. Speaking at the event, the official of the Knowledge Foundation under the President of the Azerbaijan Republic Haji Narimanoglu reported that in several days it will be two years since the Knowledge Foundation was founded. It was noted that the Gabala district representative office of the Foundation is one of the offices, showing the best activity. The present representative office provides the active participation of secondary school students in all our events. We would like to award one group of active students with the letters of gratitude on behalf of the Foundation. Today's event is connected with the name of Heydar Aliyev. You all know that the national leader gave a lot to the Azerbaijani people. Many schools, kindergartens, educational institutions were constructed and put in operation. Even works carried out in Gabala city, and the fact that this region is turning into a tourist corner, all these are connected with the name of the national leader. Walking around the city, we saw foreign tourists. Gabala youth freely communicated with them in their language. It actually indicates that Gabala youth possesses big capacity and high intellectual level. Gabala is not only beautiful; it is also a model of an ethnic panorama. The Udis, Lezgins, and also representatives of other nationalities live here. The head of legal department of Baku International Center of Multiculturalism Tural Shakhbazov told that the President of the State declared this year “The Year of multiculturalism”. He noted that in many countries of the world people kill each other, shed blood. But in our country for the last 23 years there wasn’t a case of a crime committed on religious ground. A video about Heydar Aliyev's life and activity was shown. At the end of the event, the letters of gratitude on behalf of the Foundation were presented to the students, who took active part in the events of the Knowledge Foundation under the President of the Azerbaijan Republic. The representative of the Foundation for the region, the principal of School No. 2 Tarana Salimova was presented a book titled "Literary and Art Sources of the Azerbaijani Multiculturalism".
