The third stage of cycle tour of "Tour d'Azerbaïdjan-2016" started in the city of Gabala.

On May 6 started the third stage of cycle tour of the International Cycling Association category 2.1 "Tour d'Azerbaïdjan-2016". The participants of the contest started this stage before the building of Executive Power of the Gabala region. Within this stage the cyclists passed across the territory of Oghuz and Shaki regions, having overcome a distance of 177, 2 kilometers, crossed the finishing line before the building of Executive Power of the Gabala region. The third stage of the tournament became successful for Azerbaijani continental team "Baku Synergy". As in the second stage, in this stage also the member of our team crossed the finishing line before all again. Having finished the route in 4 hours 18 minutes 44 seconds, M. Mugerli thereby was ahead of all in the group consisting of 13 people who finished along with him. As was the day earlier, a member of the Austrian club "Felbermayr - Simplon Wels", who was a part of "Synergy Baku" in last season, Marcus Eybeger again ranked second. The third was Luka Vakerman, a member of United Arab Emirates team "NASR-Dubai". Other members of "Baku Synergy" – Maksim Averin ranked 12th, Matiya Kvasina ranked 20th, Kiril Pozdnyakov ranked 22nd and Yanis Tamuridis the 30th. This result allowed "Synergy Baku" to be atop in team total. In the general qualification, among members of our team Maxim Averin occupies the 4th, Matya Mugerli the 7th, Matiya Kvasina the 12th, Kirill Pozdnyakov the 13th place. After three stages the member of the Austrian Felbermayr team - Simplon Wels Danielle Chorn became the owner of the blue Synergy Group T-shirt intended for the leader of the general qualification. He also received a green SOCAR T-shirt as the best sprinter. The representative of an Italian team "Unieuro Wilier" Mauro Finetto received a red AZAL T-shirt as the best mountain cyclist, the cyclist of the Russian Gazprom-Rusvelo pro-continental team Ildar Arslanov reserved a violet AtaHolding T-shirt as the best young cyclist. The chairman of Organizing committee of the cycle tournament, the vice-president of Azerbaijan Cycling Federation Sakhib Alekperov, the vice-president of the European Cycling Union Alexander Gusyatnikov and the chief executive of the Gabala region Sabuhi Abdullayev handed the awards to the winners.
