The youth of Gabala were seen off to the army.

In accordance with the decree of the President of Azerbaijan, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces Mr. Ilham Aliyev, next real military challenge has been started since April 1. Solemn farewell ceremony of the youth to military service was held in Gabala region in association with the decree.  The acting head of Gabala region Department of State Service on Mobilization and Military Challenge Service Huseyn Guliyev inaugurated the event, spoke of the mutual works carried out with all the offices and enterprises of the regions for the orderly organization of the military challenge and wished the conscripts successful service for homeland. The Head of the Executive Power of Gabala region Sabuhi Abdullayev participated in the event, made a speech and highlighted the importance of the national army in the protection of the state independence, at the same time as in the formation of the personality of the youth, mentioned exceptional role of Azerbaijani Army in ensuring the security and protection of our country. It was stated that army building policy established by the great leader Heydar Aliyev was successfully continued by Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces President Ilham Aliyev, underlined the state care in our country shown to the youth. At the end of his speech Mr. Sabuhi Abdullayev advised the conscripts to serve country faithfully, wished they would return to Gabala as heroes. Afterwards, the mother of the conscript Gulshan Mehdiyeva, the representative of the council of elders Shirin Shirinov, Rauf Khalilov who have been newly demobilized from the army, the representative of Religious Community of Gabala city Haji Saleh Shirinov made a speech recommended the conscripts to fairly protect territorial integrity and sovereignty of Azerbaijan, wished they would acquire military knowledge well, be disciplined and return home as a worthy son of the motherland.   4 conscripts born on April 17 were presented valuable gifts.
