During competitions of International Grand Prix in shooting in Gabala, Azerbaijani athletes won 3 medals
The competitions of the III International Grand Prix for Olympic kinds of shooting sport, dedicated to the memory of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev, continue in Gabala region. In the international competitions with the participation of 73 athletes from 9 countries taking place in a complex of trap shooting and archery in the Bum settlement, the competition on the pair trench stand shooting among men finished. In the finals, held on May 10 athletes from Russia Vasiliy Mosin with 27 points took the first place, and Kirill Fokeyev with 26 points - the second, the athlete from the United Arab Emirates Khalid Alkabe with 25 points ranked third. In youth competition gold, silver and bronze medals were won by Azerbaijani athletes. At competitions, held in conditions of intense wrestling, Alimirza Guliyev, Ismet Sarkarov and Mirmomin Aghazade won I, II, III, respectively. Medals were awarded to the athletes by the vice-president of the Azerbaijan Federation of Sport Shooting Hafiz Jafarov, the vice-president of the "Gabala" shooting club Elvin Ismayilov and the champion of Azerbaijan Emin Jafarov.
