The blood donation campaign was organized in Gabala region.
According to the decrees signed by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. Ilham Aliyev, in accordance with the state program to combat thalassemia in the 2015-2020's, blood donation campaign was organized in Gabala region. The humanitarian event held in Gabala District Diagnostic Center to help people suffering from various blood diseases, was attended by the staffs of the region departments and organizations, law enforcement officers, education, health care, culture workers, and youth. Within the campaign staff of the Central Blood Bank, first of all, surveyed the citizens. Blood was taken from the 200 people who applied during the day for voluntary blood donation. The collected blood and products made from it will be used for the treatment of patients with hemophilia and thalassemia, as well as other patients in need of blood.
