IV International tournament "Young Rescuer" and V Republican championship "Young rescuer and firefighter" started in Gabala city.
With organizational support of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Azerbaijan, with the support of the UNICEF Baku office, ministries of education, youth and sport the start was given to the IV International tournament "Young Rescuer" and V Republican championship "Young rescuer and firefighter".
Initially, participants of the event, arrived at the Alley of Honor in Baku, where they visited the grave of national leader Heydar Aliyev and laid a wreath at the monument.
Then at the Alley of Martyrs they visited graves of sons and daughters of the motherland, who have become martyrs for freedom and territorial integrity of our country.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the event, held in N military unit of CDF of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Gabala, Deputy Minister of Emergency Situations, Lieutenant General of the Medical Service Faig Taghizade, the Head of the Gabala Region Executive Power Sabuhi Abdullayev wished success to the participants of the competition expressed confidence that the holding of such competitions open opportunities for youth to gain experience in fight with emergency situations.
The international tournament, which will last until July 3, was attended by representatives from Azerbaijan, Turkey, Russia, Pakistan, Georgia and Belarus.
And in the national championship, which will bring together teams from 10 regions and cities of the country, the teams of full secondary school No. 20 of Nizami district, full secondary school No. 56 of the Khatai district of Baku city, and from Mingachevir city, Khizi, Khachmaz, Agdam, Goygol, Neftchala, Yardimli and Ismayilli regions will test their strength.
