The district championship in freestyle wrestling was held.
The District Youth and Sports Department held a district championship in freestyle wrestling among adolescents and youth in Gabala Olympic Sports Complex. Head of Youth and Sports Department, Fakhri Soltanov, taking the floor during the opening ceremony of the championship, was talking about strengthening of the material and technical base of sport, the care and attention provided to athletes by the President of the country, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, extended his good wishes to the participants of the competition.
About 100 adolescent and young wrestlers in 16 weight classes participated at the competition. According to the rules of Azerbaijan Wrestling Federation holding the championship was entrusted to the jury, confirmed by the District Youth and Sports Department.
At the end of the district championship in freestyle wrestling, the winners were awarded diplomas and medals of District Youth and Sports Department.
