Presentation of the book "Literary and artistic sources of Azerbaijani multiculturalism" was held.

Presentation of the book compiled and published by the Baku International Multiculturalism Center "Literary and artistic sources of Azerbaijani multiculturalism" was organized on June 28 in Gabala region. The event held at the Heydar Aliyev Center with the joint organizational support of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS), Baku International Multiculturalism Center, was attended by employees of departments of culture and tourism, librarians of Gabala, Gakh, Zagatala, Balakan, Sheki, Oghuz regions. At the presentation ceremony, one of the authors of the book, the director of the Institute of Linguistics of ANAS, professor Movsum Naghisoylu, responsible employee of the Baku International Multiculturalism Center Yadigar Mammadli, deputy head of the Department for Public-Political and Humanitarian Affairs of the Gabala region Executive Power - the organizer of the work with religious organizations Yashar Nazirov, Head of Region Culture and Tourism Department Nargila Gafarova in their speeches said that multiculturalism is one of the most important directions of the state policy in our country, spoke about the work done in the multiculturalism in Azerbaijan. As mentioned, multicultural values in Azerbaijan has a very ancient history. Our country has historically been a place of peaceful and friendly residence of the representatives of different nations and religions. Today, the Azerbaijani model of multiculturalism is a model for the world. The book plays an important role in terms of representation of Azerbaijani multiculturalism to the world. Speaking about the Azerbaijani model of multicultural values, speakers said that it is time to show the model to the world. They brought to attention that the Order of the President Ilham Aliyev on the announcement of 2016 year in Azerbaijan as "Year of multiculturalism" is an important step towards achieving this goal. In the speeches, the book "Literary and artistic sources of Azerbaijani multiculturalism", compiled and published by the Baku International Multiculturalism Centre was highly appreciated. It was noted that for the study of the Azerbaijani multiculturalism in the context of literature and culture, this book is the ultimate source. One of the authors of the book, the director of the Institute of Linguistics of ANAS, professor Movsum Naghisoylu described the book as a successful demonstration of multicultural values of Azerbaijani literature, and at the same time as the first significant source in this sphere.
