The international student conference has started in Gabala within the framework of the customs cooperation.

The international student conference on the theme "Youth Dialogue - raising capacity through the expansion of international customs cooperation" was held on June 29 in Gabala city. First, participants laid a wreath at the monument to national leader Heydar Aliyev in Gabala, respectfully honored his memory. At the opening ceremony, held in the "Qafqaz Resort" hotel, Chairperson of the State Customs Committee, Lieutenant General of Customs Service Aydin Aliyev, Head of the Secretariat of the International Network of Customs Universities (INCU), a senior lecturer at the Center for Customs and Excise Studies of the Charles Sturt University Mikhail Kashubsky and advisor of the International Network of Customs Universities on the modernization of customs working Hendrikus van Zandwijk made speeches. Aydin Aliyev said that the State Customs Committee is particularly attentive to the issues of strengthening the cooperation in the customs sphere, modernization and professionalization of staff and today's conference will contribute to the achievement of progress in this direction. So, in every area successful activity depended on the level of professionalism. Also successful recruitment in the customs service, increased professionalism have always attracted the attention with its relevance. SCC Chairperson recalled that the founder of the modern Azerbaijani state Heydar Aliyev in 1997, in his speech at the event on the occasion of the customs bodies of Azerbaijan turning 5 years since the creation, also said that one of the five basic conditions for the development of the customs service is staff training. Created in 1996 Training Center of the State Customs Committee, being the first institution in the country in this field, has played a crucial role in the training and education of personnel. And now the Academy of the State Customs Committee operates on the basis of the training center, established pursuant to the order of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev. In his speech, Head of the Secretariat of the International Network of Customs Universities (INCU), a senior lecturer at the Center for Customs and Excise Studies of the Charles Sturt University Mikhail Kashubsky appreciated the value of a student conference held in Gabala. Mikhail Kashubsky noted a greater role of the conference in terms of the joint exchange of experience and establishment of mutual relations of teachers and students of different higher educational institutions, scientists, experts of customs.The conference was attended by students studying the customs specialty at the prestigious universities in 20 countries - Austria, Belarus, Belgium, Bulgaria, China, Macedonia, Georgia, Germany, Hungary, Lithuania, Netherlands, Poland, Russia, Senegal, Sweden, Turkey, Ukraine, United States, Uzbekistan, Vietnam, scientists specializing in the field of customs, as well as the well-known customs experts Vaclav Chijovich, Zlatko Veterovski. The conference, which runs from June 29 to July 1 will consist of 4 sessions, entitled "International trade", "Strengthening of the customs potential", "Analysis and management of customs risks", "Customs electronic services for trade facilitation", as well as scientists and students representing various academic institutions, about 50 reports will be heard.
