The 98th anniversary since the establishment of the Azerbaijani police was celebrated in Gabala region.

July 2 - on the occasion of Police Day in Azerbaijan law enforcement officers of Gabala region, arriving to the park named after the great leader Heydar Aliyev in the central square of the city, visited the monument to national leader. Then the head of the Police Department, Police Colonel Nadir Mammadov in his speech congratulated the police officers on the occasion of Police Day, brought to the attention that Azerbaijani police since the establishment vigilantly stand guard over our state and the rule of law, it possesses invaluable contribution to the protection of citizens' rights, strengthening public order. Stressing in his speech the formation of Azerbaijan National Police thanks to the care of the national leader Heydar Aliyev, its transformation into a flexible structure as one of the foundations of our statehood, he said that police professionalism in the implementation of the tasks set by the distinguished President Ilham Aliyev, is continuously growing, for the convenience of citizens all forces are mobilized.
At the meeting, speaking alongside with the law enforcement employees of the region, the first deputy head of the region executive power Abil Aghasafov congratulated the police, said that during the reign of the great leader Heydar Aliyev, great attention and care were shown to the Azerbaijani police, and now the work of police officers is adequately appreciated by the Head of State Ilham Aliyev. It was noted that police in Azerbaijan is a reliable guarantor of security in the country, protecting of the stability and public order.
In their speeches, other officials and police veterans, who participated at the event, congratulated police officers with the big day, reported the exceptional merits of peace officers in ensuring stability in the country, in the fight against crime. Finally, a group of police officers who had distinguished themselves in the service, police veterans were presented with certificates, diplomas and valuable gifts from the district police department.
