Grand mugham night in Gabala International Music Festival.
Gabala-ancient city has been successfully hosting music festival that is the magnificent international project of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation since July 30. Beside world-renowned musicians, young performers also take the stage in the VIII International Music Festival in Gabala which is participated by prominent musicians, art ensembles, conductors and soloists from 12 countries. Every year national music mugham is traditionally given wide coverage in Gabala International Music Festival where mainly the works of classical music are played. Domestic and foreign music lovers were eagerly waiting for music evening held outdoors on August 1. The extra seats were placed in front of the stage set up in the park that is opposite of Heydar Aliyev Congress Center due to great interest of the audience in the concert. The performance of singer Gullu Muradova, winner of II National Television Mugham Competition organized by Heydar Aliyev Foundation and Ilkin Ahmadov, participant of I National Television Mugham Competition and soloist of Azerbaijani State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre caused great interest at the concert that gives unforgettable music holiday excitement to audience. The young and talented mugham singers were accompanied by honored artists Sahib Pashazada on tar, Toghrul Asadullayev on kamancha, Chinara Heydarova on kanoon, as well as Emin Jabrayilov on drum, Fagan Alasgarov on balaban, Shafa Karimov on oud. The concert lasting for two hours with the participation of up to two thousand spectators ended with applause.
