The concert of Austrian “Wiener Academie” Chamber Orchestra was held on July 31 in the framework of the VIII International Gabala Music Festival organized by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation. The concert organized at Heydar Aliyev Congress Centre has caused great interest of the audience. It was reported at the concert that the orchestra was established in 1985 under the leadership of Martin Hesselbok. The orchestra's repertoire is very wide and varied. “Wiener Academie” Chamber Orchestra won Jun-Tokusen and Du Disque International Grand Prix rewards. The works by Austrian and Italian composers were performed in the concert under the baton of world-renowned conductor Martin Haselböck, awarded with “Austrian Cross of Honour for Science and Art”, rewards of W.A.Mozart in Prague and F.Liszt in Hungary. Famous Austrian musicians - Markus Hofmann (violin), Anna Maria Smerd (violin), Wolfram Fortin (viola), Martin Hasselbuk (organ), Pavel Serbin (cello), Walter Bakunig (basso), Michael Oman (recorder) - perfectly performed the classic works of European composers before the local and foreign spectators and gave them unforgettable moments.
