The Winners of the IV International Competition of Young Pianists were awarded.
The IV International Competition of Young Pianists, which was held from August 2 to 5 within the VIII Gabala International Music Festival, organized by the Heydar Aliyev, finished. In the struggle for the awards of the contest, that took place in the «Qafqaz Resort» hotel, talented young pianists from Russia and Azerbaijan demonstrated their abilities. On August 5 the award ceremony was held. The first place in the competition was taken by the Azerbaijani pianist Vurgun Vekilov and pianist from Russia Anna Kavalerova. The winners of the second place were Azerbaijani pianist Tofik Shikhiyev and pianist from Russia Yevgeniya Antonova. Nobody won the third place in the music competition. Rashid Behbudov and Atabala Manafzade awarded diplomas for the original performance in the competition. The winners and distinguished participants were awarded cash prizes. It should be noted that the jury, which was headed by Oksana Yablonskaya, consisted of Farhad Badalbeyli, Murad Adigozalzadeh, Irina Starodub, Valida Suk, Maryam Maleki.
