The Gabala hosted an event dedicated to the initial special vocational education.
With organizational support of the Ministry of Education and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) a presentation was held in Gabala on the topic of "The new careers in agriculture", the application of which is expected in the Gabala Vocational School. Head of the Department of analysis and forecasting of socio-economic development of the DEP - Deputy Head Arif Allahverdiyev, who opened the event, spoke about the significance of the project for the region. It was noted that the purpose of the event is to support the strengthening of cooperation between the Gabala Vocational School and the private sector. One of the speakers, Deputy Head of the Department of International Cooperation of the Ministry of Education Parviz Yusifov gave information about the measures undertaken for the reconstruction of the Gabala Vocational School, and projects implemented in conjunction with international organizations in this direction. P.Yusifov noted the implementation of work towards the establishment of modern Training center on agriculture specialties, prepared on the basis of the Gabala Vocational School with the participation of international experts, the continuation of the construction works in the new school building, workshop and classrooms. It was noted that within the project it is planned to prepare new specialties and teaching aids that meet labor market requirements, and the organization of training for the teachers and pedagogical staff. The representative of the United Nations Development Programme Eltekin Omarov said that in the framework of the project "Sustainable Land and Forest Management in Greater Caucasus Landscape" and "EC ClimaEast Pilot", "Ecosystem-based approaches to climate change" textbooks were developed on specialty "Livestock specialist". During the meeting, the preparation by the organization "British Council" of textbooks on specialty "Growers" and "Specialists of agricultural service" within the framework of the BP-funded project "Preparation of new specialties in agriculture" was brought to the attention.
