Nij settlement of Gabala region was provided with natural gas.

Nij settlement, a big populated locality of Gabala region, after years of break, was provided with natural gas. On this occasion, the officials of Region Executive Power and "Azerigaz" Production Union, and public figures attended the ceremony held on September 17. Deputy of Milli Mejlis, Chairman of the Republican Council of Elders Fattah Heydarov and the Head of the Region Executive Power Mr. Sabuhi Abdullayev, congratulated the villagers on the occasion of natural gas supply. It was brought to the attention that Gabala is currently experiencing a new level of development. Today, each of us in daily life experiences the harvest of programs and projects adopted under the leadership of Mr. Ilham Aliyev. All the social issues that are important to people living in our cities, towns and villages, are being resolved. It was emphasized that the successful implementation of State Programs on socio-economic development of the regions of Azerbaijan Republic changed the face of the settlements, reconstruction and Improvement works took a wide sweep, the well-being of the population greatly improved. It was noted that 34 villages are supplied with gas in the region. Participating at the event, press office chief of "Azerigaz" Production Union, Ibrahim Karbalayev noted that for the gasification of Nij settlement, gas carriers and intradistrict gas lines based on the single-stage system were laid by means of metal pipes of different diameters with a total length of 295 thousand 440 meters, and individual regulators and speed counters were installed. In general, 1525 subscribers were provided with blue fuel in the settlement. Elders and intellectuals in their speeches said that the natural gas supply for the population turned into a real celebration in the settlement. Then the torch was lit symbolizing the flow of natural gas. The participants of ceremony visited the houses and checked the "blue fuel" pressure.
