Participants of the Conference of the Journalists Association of the member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in Gabala.

The participants of the Conference of the Journalists Association of the member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation on October 4 visited Gabala region for information purposes. In the Gabala city delegation received by the first deputy head of the region executive power Abil Aghasafov was provided with detailed information on the work done and progress achieved in connection with the socio-economic development of the region. It was noted that the holding of regional and international large-scale events once again confirms the natural beauty of this region and great importance for international tourism. First of all, the delegation interested in the structures in a modern architectural style built in the region, got acquainted with the Congress Centre of Heydar Aliyev. The guests were informed that the building consists of 3 floors and a basement at a depth of 4.2 m. The height of each floor is 6.9 m. The meeting rooms, dressing, rooms for artists, a restaurant with 350 seats, administrative premises, spacious lobby, hall for lifts, lavatories were shown to the delegation on the first floor of the center, on the second floor - a multifunctional conference hall with 1200 seats, the scene of 92 sqm, the VIP-halls, security room, rooms for artists and media workers and a spacious lobby. It was noted that the meeting room for other purposes (concert, meeting, etc.) can be in the shortest possible time turned into a flat state by means of the seats being drawn down.During the visit, the delegation got acquainted with the production process in the "Gilan Gida" Town, which is a manufacturing enterprise of the region. It was reported that the company produces frozen potato semi-products and potato chips. The production process is working with a fully automated system. Here the raw material firstly is placed in the cold store of 6 thousand square meters. It has been brought to the attention that the company also has a laboratory for quality control. Prior to sending for production, the physical and chemical parameters of the products are verified. Then the delegation visited the exhibition of the nutrition products, produced at the enterprise. The conference participants also examined the trap shooting and archery complex, located in the Bum village of the region. It was noted that a special place is given to the trap-shooting, the most prevalent among type of shooting sports, added to the Olympic Games. It was also mentioned that the complex hosts international competitions. The delegation, interested in regional tourist infrastructure, got acquainted with the hotel complexes and a recreation centers. It was reported that Azerbaijan pays special attention to the development of tourism and creation of modern infrastructure in this field. Along with the capital, the regions also involved in this process, and large-scale tourism projects are implemented in the regions. It was noted that the "Tufandag" summer and winter ski resort complex is one of those objects. This huge holiday resort allows tourists to use the ropeway at all times of the year, to ski in the winter, enjoy the hotel and other services. It was noted that one of the important factors that increase the value of the complex, is an opportunity for tourists to choose the right system for their track. Each client can choose a track according to the runway, the location and degree of complexity. The entire ski trail is equipped with an artificial snow generating system. The delegation which got acquainted with enchanting nature of the region and "Qafqaz Resort", "Qafqaz Riverside", "Qafqaz Sport", "Qafqaz Karvansaray" hotels and recreation centers within the visit, noted a strong tourist potential of the region. The participants left Gabala with pleasant impressions.
